Jesus Met by Graffiti Artist LEODAV
mosery wanted to discuss 'my Jesus,' who lives and walks with individuals
in their daily lives, rather than the conceptually known Jesus and the cross.
The first storyteller is graffiti artist LEODAV. His confession of faith became a piece of graffiti art on a canvas adorned with 100 crosses.
A piece of this work, the mosery Cross Easter Edition, will be a unique and rare object that reflects the meaning of resurrection.
Who is Jesus to LEODAV?
From an unconventional childhood to the present, Jesus has been my source of strength and support. One unforgettable memory stands out: I was severely injured while serving in the military. Miraculously, I was given the role of a chaplain's assistant, a position that didn’t exist at the time. This allowed me to heal both physically and emotionally. It was then that I realized Jesus was always protecting me and walking alongside me, tending to my pain in both heart and body.
Even now, I experience Jesus as the strength for me and my family.
What Does Graffiti Mean to LEODAV?
Graffiti is my way of expressing myself.
Many of my graffiti works are centered around letters. Most of the time,
these works involve turning my tag name (artist name) or messages into art.
On the streets, where different identities meet and clash,
creating a distinctive graphic style is crucial for self-expression.
Graffiti is a bold and proactive artwork that showcases my individuality.
Your works are impressive with their use of color and pattern. They radiate a bright and positive energy.
The distinctive feature of my work is the camouflage pattern using four CMYK colors. CMYK stands for the colors of standard ink : Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black.
I call this camouflage pattern ‘LOVE CAMO.’
Just as shades of gray blend together,I aim to convey through my artwork how beautiful and wonderful it is for people today, who often conform to blend in, to recognize and display their unique colors.
