“ We designed a new version of the mosery cross as a scent object,

hoping it encourages us to pray for a sponsored child

and helping those quiet moments turn into worship that pleases God.

May this object become a good tool for creating our prayer ritual. ”

A new version of mosery cross - Scent Object (2025)

This edition is made of plaster with space to apply diffusing oil. Specially designed for Compassion's Child Sponsorship Campaign.

Q. Why did mosery partner with Compassion?

Since our launching, we have been committed to giving back, donating 1% of all mosery cross sales to Compassion.

One day, Compassion reached out to us with a meaningful proposal, they wanted to collaborate on a product for their 2025 sponsorship initiative.

We couldn't have been more grateful for the opportunity. If mosery can support Compassion's mission and offer encouragement in the daily lives of sponsors, it's more than we could hope for.

Q. It looks slightly different from its original design. There must be a special reason.

This newly released Scent Object is designed to carry fragrance. Made from plaster, the upper surface of the cross was designed to hold and diffuse oil. The scent represents worship and prayer in the Bible.

We hope this piece helps sponsors create a daily rhythm of prayer; whether in the stillness of morning or at the end of a long day. Also, we hope their personal moments become a form of worship that brings joy to the heart of God.

Compared to the original design of mosery cross, this version features its pronounced curves. The texture of plaster and fluidity of the curves come together to evoke an image of maternal warmth, gently radiating from the corner of a room.

Q. The curved cross feels quite unite and special. Was it designed purely for aesthetic reasons?

Beauty is certainly important, but in this case, the design also serves a practical purpose.

Reproducing the original cross in plaster with the same size and proportions would have made it uncomfortably heavy. While reducing its size seemed like the simplest solution, it ended up feeling visually underwhelming.

So we explored a different approach: softening the four corners with curves. This approach reduced the overall volume and weight, while still preserving the original proportions. After 3D printing a mock-up model, we saw its potential.

Even though we faced unexpected challenges in the production stage, our team and everyone involved remained committed and the mosery cross Scent Object was born.

So many times, we heard 'It's not possible," yet God continued to send talented people to help us. Eventually, we were able to complete this project.

I find myself quite excited when someone says "It's impossible." I begin to wonder with great expectation how our mighty God will work this time.

Q. We're also very curious about the scent of diffusing oil.

We interpreted the biblical scent of aloes and myrrh in a modern way. Blending natural oud and amber vanilla, the fragrance captures the mystery of a deep forest and the calm of a hidden path. It is a reminder that prayer can guide us through life.

The scent was created in collaboration with CONVEY.G, a brand that empowers artists and marginalised communities through creative work.

Compassion International was founded in 1952 to help Korean war orphans.
Today, it supports over 2.3 million children in 29 countries through 8,800 church partners, helping them grow into self-reliant adults.

Your support can shape a child’s future.
